Support TB awareness

You can contribute to the cause by:

Sharing on social media:

By sharing any of my posts on social media, you’re driving awareness for TB.

Follow me on Instagram and Facebook @ 2feet4tb for weekly posts.

Use #2feet4tb when participating in a run or cycle when you want to share it from your own social media platforms.

Participate through running or cycling:

I often wear different colour shoes when I run or cycle because when people notice it they usually ask about it and then I can engage in a conversation with them about my TB experience. So not everyone has two pairs of running shoes, but everyone has different colour socks. Take a “feet-selfie” with your different colour socks and use the hastag #2feet4tb when you share it on Instagram or Facebook.

Organise a community run or cycle for TB:

Gather your own group of running and cycling enthusiast and participate with different colour socks and share your “feet-selfie” via social media platforms with the hashtag #2feet4tb.

Share your own story:

As a TB survivor I’ve met many people who have been impacted by TB either directly or indirectly. Sharing your own story will help to break the stigma surrounding the subject of TB and will bring a new understanding which is so vital and necessary. The world desperately needs you to speak up this. There is so much power in sharing your story, because not only does it bring awareness, it brings healing.

Share your story, email 2feet4tb@gmail.com

Donate towards the cause:

Yes, creating awareness for TB cost money. In order to educate people about TB properly the message needs to become visible via various platforms. From the smallest donation all the way through to sponsorship can make a massive difference in the campaign to create awareness for TB.

Volunteer your skills and time:

This cause runs solely on generous volunteers who donate their skills and time. It still needs a lot of help to enable the spread and expansion of its message. Offering your skills and time pro-bono allows you to provide a first-hand contribution to the efforts of the TB awareness campaigns. Here is a list of items where 2Feet4TB needs assistance:

  • Volunteer to manage the newsletter:

2Feet4TB needs someone to create newsletters to give feedback on what fundraising projects involved, developments on TB awareness, stories from TB survivors etc.

  • Volunteer to organise a fundraising event for TB awareness:

Running and cycling clubs often host events in backing of health and wellness, this is a perfect opportunity for clubs to take part in administering such events for their members in support of the cause.

  • Volunteer to create awareness through media outlets:

- publish articles about 2feet4tb

- organise interviews via radio

- organise interviews via TV

- organise interviews on online platforms

  • Help 2feet4tb create a proper website:

2Feet4TB needs a centralised online platform to direct its audience to more information on the awareness campaign, what it is about and how it started, how to get involved, how to contribute, and a platform where others can share their stories.

  • Source sponsorship:

Volunteer to build a network with partners that are willing to sponsor of their resources.
